Interconnection
Glossary Page
An "interconnection" is a link between two or more nodes, typically deployed in different infrastructure domains and belonging to different stakeholders such as customers and/or providers. The interconnection between the nodes can be considered as a pathway that has special characteristics, such as latency and bandwidth guarantees, that go beyond the characteristics of a pathway over the public internet.
