Embedded systems
Glossary Page
Embedded systems are stand-alone small computers with microprocessors, sensors, actuators and input/output units that are used in various control and regulation tasks, e.g. in household appliances, set-top boxes, fully automatic coffee machines and MP3 players. These embedded systems are increasingly networked, have access to the Internet and are part of machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions.
