Cluster & Nodes (Cloud Computing)
Glossary Page
A cluster refers to a collection of computers that are utilized to boost computing performance or enhance fault tolerance. It comprises a sole master node, which oversees all slave nodes in the cluster. The slave nodes are classified into two types: core nodes, which save data in the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and task nodes, which don't use HDFS.
