Cloud Provider
Glossary Page
Cloud providers, also known as Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), offer cloud computing services. Many cloud providers provide managed infrastructure, also called Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). With managed infrastructure, the cloud provider is responsible for servers, storage, and networking, while you manage higher layers such as running a Kubernetes cluster. Managed Kubernetes, also known as Platform as a Service (PaaS), is available through some cloud providers. With managed Kubernetes, the cloud provider is responsible for the Kubernetes control plane, nodes, and underlying infrastructure such as networking, storage, and load balancers.
